Argentina is a wonderful place to visit. There are natural wonders that would delight the eye, a great capital that exudes European flair and sophistication, and a passionate culture. Because of the recent condition of the economy, it has also become very affordable to fly there.

Argentina is a country where Americans and Europeans can feel safe and secure. A love for soccer along with moves to go along with it may be all it takes for you to endear yourself to the locals.

Before traveling to Argentina, one must make sure to get vaccination for yellow fever, as there have been recent reports of outbreaks north of the country.

Tourists are advised to explore Buenos Aires, the capital, on foot. One can witness the rich Italian heritage that the country has adapted, with its little cafes, stunning architecture and stately avenues.

One may also choose to go south and explore the tiny villages, the provincial parks and empty roads. One can hike with the assitance of a local guide. There is also the option of renting a car and heading to the hills for some sight seeing.

So whether you are up for some social time, or some quiet time, Argentina has something for you. So pack your bags and prepare to Agrentina Away!

The onset of the US’s 230th year as an Independent nation have brought about expressions of pride for different aspects of the country. America can also boast of many beautiful places found along its shores.

Here are 5 must visit spots to get an authentic taste of the land of the free and the home of the brave.

1. Olympic National Park in Washington- This is a huge expanse of space that makes one feel like he wasn’t in Seattle, much less the United States at all! There are hiking paths with majestic views to glaciated mountain peaks

2. Big Sur- This is a coastal wilderness hidden away between the drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco. You are welcome to pull off the side and hike a little, and then watch the light change across the landscape.

3.Highway 50: Between Maryland and California- According to the article’s author, this route is the ultimate east-west thoroughfare. The route starts in Ocean city and ends in Sacramento.

4.Pink National Forest, Colorado- This is one of the most beautiful mountains in the country. It’s found between Colorado Springs and Denver.

5.The Flint Hills, Kansas- Found in the prairies, this is a place filled with true blue American charm. The flint hills are also home to the largest remnant of native tallgrass prairie in the world. The landscape as you drive by is truly breath taking, and comes as a peasant surprise, even to fellow Americans.

There ae certain travelers who find it a must to see India. The country has held its allure ever since the Beatles visited in the quest for Transcendental Meditation.

Aside from backpackers that are looking to experience affordable Eastern spirituality, India is catering for a new type of tourist- the type that actually has the funds to spend, and wants to stay in luxury hotels.

This new type of tourist has created a travel boom in India, and in the recen tyears, it has become a popular destination for Americans. Between 2006 and 2007, the country experienced an 8% rise in tourism.

Most of India’s new visitors are business men and women, retirees who are looking for adventure and second and third generation Indian immigrants who want to come back to visit to see how their parents and grandparents lived.

India’s efforts to up their tourism campaigns have also been cited as the source for the influx of tourists. Major airlines also have flights to New Delhi, which make it less intimidating for travelers to get there.

Are you too, thinking of vacationing to India?

In Dallas, 200 pilots from American Airlines are about to lose their jobs. This is a part of American Airlines’ move to let go of 8% of its work force in efforts to cope with the rising fuel prices.

American Airline gave its pilots union an proposal last Tuesday that included incentives for senior pilots to leave voluntarily.

The Pilots union, composed of about 8,500 pilots have said that they are still reviewing the proposal. The union was previously hopeful that no jobs would be cut, as there was a recent recall of about 25 jobs in June. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

The lay-off is said to set in after the peak of the summer travel season.

Pilots are not the only ones affected. American Airlines, together with its sister company, American Eagle, are also letting go of 900 flight attendants, as well as hundreds of airport jobs.

The airline is hopeful that if enough pilots take the proposal, then lesser jobs would have to be given up, and younger pilots would also be given a chance for career advancement.

Why the need to travel to far-flng plces in the quest for beautiful sights? There’s a great one just in the USA’s backyard! It’s Canyon de Chelly and it’s in Arizona! The canyon is knwon for its distinct red stones that line the whole area.

The Canyon has others draws too. It is a revered site for the Navajo people. It is home to thousands of ruins, carvings and paintings on stone. One can learn about the site’s amazing history through a hike on the trails, a horseback ride, or over the campfire.

Guides have referred to the site as the soul of the Navajo culture. Many have said that one can really find oneself here, if they allow the canyon to speak to them.

While the land remains Navajo-owned, the monument found in the area is managed by the federal government. Only one trail is accessible without a Navajo guide.

The site is not only home to about 200 Navajos, but to Navajo deities who are said to reside here as well. There are stories of medicine men who ask the spirits for guidance in planting the corn, as well as tales of sacrifices and massacres that have occurred in this area.

If you’re looking for activity, adventure, reflection and a strong sense of cultural wealth and history, the Canyon de Chelly is definitely a must-visit!

Not many people know this, but one of the world’s best places to ski and snowboard is New Zealand! The most popular ski resorts are those found in the towns of Queenstown and Wanaka. However, if you feel like going to more secluded spots, you can head up to Mount Potts backcountry and Temple Basin Ski Area

The best times to head out to the snow are between July and early October. This is when you’ll get the most powder.

There are a variety of ski resorts available to cater to your budget, whatever it may be. There are high end resorts, complete with high speed quad chairs. There are also ski schools, and resorts who cater to whole families with young children.

Expect the weekends to be crowded, with longer lines, as locals join in the fray to get away from it all and relax. No matter what time you decide to go though, rest assured that you’re up for an awesome and exciting time!

The most recent most popular travel destinations poll have just gotten in and Italy has once again been among the top of the list. What is there in Italy that makes it so irresistable to travelers?

1.The architecture- no matter where you walk in Rome, you are greeted by beautiful sculptures, fountains and buildings. Such apparent beauty isn’t present in other places. Also, it seems that these artistic expressions of beauty connect a vibrant modern city to the past so seamlessly.

2.The weather- The weather always seems so perfect in Italy, warm with the perfect breeze. The sky also seems bluer, and the colors of the world so vibrant.

3.The people- Italians are world reknowned for being warm, friendly and welcoming. Who wouldn’t want to go home to that, right?

4.The food- pizza, pasta, wine, lots of tomato sauce and lots of cheese! Who can say no? Italian fare is simple, utilizing the best and freshest ingredients. I think this is what makes their food unbeatable.

Western countries are not the only ones who are affected with increased levels of obesity. Eastern countries like China, are following suit.

Latest reports state that obesity is on the rise in China. A new survey and study has revealed that a quarter of the Chinese population are either overweight and obese. Doctors conclude that this has been brought about by an increased intake of meat and dairy products.

Only Mexico surpasses China’s obesity rate amongst developing countries. The study’s author said that what’s happening in China should be a marker to what will happen to the rest of the developing world if people do not act.

The study found out that the Chinese are eating more meat and eggs that compared to the past. Classically, the Chinese diet consisted of lots of vegetables and minimal meat intake.

If no measures are taken, we can expect these trends to emerge worldwide in the coming years.

When it counted, Rafael Nadal pulled out on all the stops. He beat defending champion Federer in 5 sets nd went on to win the Wimbledon men’s single title.

The win ended what seemed to be a very long final. It also snapped Federer’s 5 year reign on the Wimbledon. To add insult to injury it seemed, Nadal, in his victory, denied Federer the chance to become the only man to walk away with the title six consecutive times.

Nadal also beat Federer i the French Open last month. He is also the first Spanish guy to win the Wimbledon since 1966.

It was hard work to victory. The match took 4 hours and 48 minutes. Nadal had to overcome many fierce serves and tiring tie-breakers. In the end, it was more than worth it!
